Halstead House's home cooked menus are renowned – ideal for wedding receptions and parties. We've included a sample menu here as a guideline, but we are always happy to discuss alternatives to suit the happy couple.

 First Course

Salmon mousse wrapped in smoked salmon with brown bread and butter

Fan of melon with berries and coulis

Prawns and Rose Marie sauce or lemon mayonnaise with crispy green salad

Vegetable soup

Parma ham and melon

Baked avocado with tomato sauce topped with Stilton (or other) cheese

Mixed hors-d'ouvres, e.g. salami, olives, parma ham, mozzarella cheese

Main Course

Duck breast served with an orange and cranberry sauce

Medallions of pork with apple sauce

Breast of chicken wrapped in bacon with a creamy cheese sauce

Lamb steaks in wine and redcurrant sauce

Beef Tuscany

Roast beef or turkey with traditional trimmings

Moroccan lamb and cous cous
